We have finally resolved the root cause of the earlier distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack, and implemented changes to make sure similar attacks do not affect services in the future. We humbly apologize for the downtime during this attack!

All systems are back to normal after scaling up.

Note: our status monitor is by design extremely strict. Even one unsuccessful status check (performed every 30 seconds) will lead to a downtime alert. During the past days, we have needed to scale up some of our resources, leading to very short reported downtime periods.

We have identified and resolved the issue. A limited number of similar sites on our shared hosting (free) plan were affected. No sites with a paid subscription or support agreement were affected.
